This set of 4 coasters were made to look like little carpets. They are woven by hand using our Leclerc table loom. The coasters are made from 100% Icelandic wool that not only has a beautiful texture and feel but is also a very tough fiber that will withstand lots of use and hot mugs or cold glasses on them. The Icelandic wool is well suited to this application since the wool has the natural ability to wick moisture and has a natural resistance to the growth of bacteria, mildew and mold. This not only makes these superior to synthetic fibers but it also means that they do not require frequent washing. If you do need to wash them you can do so by gently soaking them in lukewarm water with a little soap. Pat them dry using a towel and allow to air dry.
